Freedom from Fear: From fear to freedom.
When an idea is very new or has resurfaced after many dormant years it can often be mistaken for what it actually is and the purpose behind it. This is still happening with the cutting edge course ” On The Warriors Path” and it is of course my continued responsibility to explain and provide the insight into why I believe this course has filled the gaps or should I say holes in the personal development industry.
“Who am I” someone asked me recently to step up and claim that personal development as it is currently taught only works long term for the rare few. I always reply I am nobody in particular and the recognition of this means I can see more clearly without the attachment of desperate need or desire which always obscures things as they really are. This recognition of being no one of any particular importance gives me the space to observe and really see. Although I whole heartedly believe it is my calling in life to bring this profound course to as many people as I can, I also acknowledge that doors will be closed and occasionally slammed in the face of what appears to be a radical change to the personal development and health and fitness world. Nevertheless as in the philosophy of the course, when one obstacle appears it will, like water just flow around it or find another path.
Let me now list a little flavour of the main 3 approaches of the course.
THE PHILOSOPHY:
What if everything you have been led to believe is a lie? A simple delusion set upon you because it makes you easier to fit into a society that requires you to behave a certain way, think a certain way and accept as truth the hierarchies this same society has set you? What if you dissolved this myth? A myth where a conformity of a fear based living is installed. Who would you be? The course encourages us to tap into our own wisdom, an innate wisdom that is often covered by the belief in the myth. The warrior philosophy is a constant leaning to a path of truth rather than a convenient lie. It is here we can find ourselves and the beauty of our own nature by dispersing the thoughts that appear to control us. Once these thoughts lose their control over us we can also relinquish the fear they project.
PHYSICAL INTELLIGENCE:
You will not find lasting courage and confidence from a physical look. So many are searching for an external body image to overcome a low self esteem and develop courage but it will never happen. This is what I term an outside in approach to personal development. The quest for a physique as a main objective is almost always for external acceptance, admiration and the desire for attention. It becomes a trap of I am how I look and when I cease to look I cease to be. On The Warriors Path suggests the alternative Eastern inside out approach where the objective is to become something through our training rather than rely on an image. There is a massive difference between the ego enhancing, fear encouraging physique chaser to the ego dismantling and fear dispersing training of a tough physical skill like Judo. Many men in particular get upset when I tell them that a lifetime of bodybuilding doesn’t come close to six months of serious Judo practise at a high level instruction. I would also make the same superior judo comparison or similar physical skill against the vast majority of personal development courses. We can do much better but we need to expose the 40 year fitness delusion that says “If I change the way I look I will develop courage and confidence.”
NUTRITION – FEEDING THE MIND AND BODY:
This is the fuel that allows the mind and body to blend and express energy through purposeful movement and personal creativity. Just as the emotions are the bridge between the mind and body, food is a life source of the health of mind and body that allow us to pursue that which we wish to achieve without burning out and becoming despondent. Anyone that is serious about achieving a calling or desire in their life of any kind will require energy, good immunity and the ability to recover from all types of mental and physical effort. It still amazes me that so many business owners, artists and creators and even athletes have not caught on to the power of nutrition. Their objective is compromised without excellent nutrition. It is a vital fuel for their thoughts and actions. I have treated many cases of depression in clients and discovered the culprit was in fact entirely faulty eating and not depression at all. But I have also seen a good diet completely neutralised by emotional turmoil…this demonstrates the importance of a programme that treats all aspects of the mind and body.
I hope this explains a little more about On The Warriors Path and how if we combine these elements we can truly find personal freedom and lead far less fearful lives.
Si, I’m blown away again by the power of this. This blog explains things so well. At the moment I’m still pulling myself back together from the bug I picked up. Hoping to be back to strength very soon.
